House Leeks (August 2022 Collection)

If you like succulents, then we’re sure you’ll love this supersized Sempervivums pattern! Affectionately known as House Leeks or Hens & Chicks, these hardy plants are both strong and resilient. Not only do they thrive even in harsh environments, but their rosette clusters are like beautiful flowers all year round. Just like in nature, the leaves in this pattern are streaked with vibrant red, purple and silvery tones, making them eye-catchingly irresistible.

There is no background colour to this pattern as these tightly packed plants are competing for space, trying to push their way out of the fabric, leaving no spaces in between, just like they would in nature. Along with their larger-than-life size, this bold and mesmerising print is perfect for adding a natural feel to any project.

Designed by the talented Philip Jacobs as part of the Kaffe Fassett Collective, this perfect plant print was released by FreeSpirit Fabrics as part of the August 2022 Collection. FreeSpirit is known for its premium quality cotton, so this fabric is fantastic for a wide range of sewing projects from quilting to crafting.

With a width of approximately 110cm (43 inches), you can purchase it by the meter (39 ⅓ inches), half a meter (19 ½ inches), or by the skinny quarter, which measures 25cm (9.8 inches) in width. Multiple quantities or combinations of these cuts will be sent as a continuous length, so for example, if you’d like 75cm, just add a half-metre and skinny quarter to your basket before you checkout. We also have a fat quarter size, measuring approximately 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches).
