Forest Chatter

This magical feeling misty forest pattern is from Maywood Studio. With layered pine trees in soft gentle green and blue tones, it’s like looking out over an endless woodland world. The simple shapes and calming colours give this forest a quiet and peaceful feeling which, along with the misty haze, makes you wonder if this scene is set early one sunny morning before any people have started to stir.

In between the trees are occasional little pops of orange as foxes dash between the trees and little birds flutter around the tree tops. These woodland animals not only add little bursts of colour, but add a sense of movement and life to the pattern too.

Maywood Studios is known for its beautiful high-quality cotton fabrics, so this fabric is not only perfect for quilting, but also for a whole range of other sewing projects. We think that this pattern would be particularly fun to make a nature-filled notebook cover, a forest-inspired floor cushion or maybe some pine tree placemats.

At approximately 110cm (43 inches) in width, Forest Chatter is available in per meter (39 ⅓ inches), half a meter (19 ½ inches), or a skinny quarter (measuring 25cm/9.8 inches) lengths. Multiple quantities or combinations of these cuts will be sent as one continuous piece, so for example if you want 125cm, just add a metre and a skinny quarter. We also have a fat quarter size, measuring approximately 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches).
