This vibrant zoo animal cotton fabric by Michael Miller is full of fun and joy. “Animal Wildlife” is a feast of colours and charm where animals of the wild come to life.

This joyful jungle is part of the Jungle Safari collection. With a lush jade background, the animals contrast easily against the green in an eye-catching way as they play across the fabric. Each creature has been drawn with a touch of playful innocence. Their shapes and expressions are simplified with bold colours, giving a children’s storybook illustration feel to the fabric.

As for the animals, there are towering giraffes with their patchwork of yellow and orange colours. Their long necks are stretched up tall and proud. A hippopotamus, stands on a grassy spot with a wide, welcoming grin, while nearby, a bashful elephant takes a graceful stance. Monkeys hang out of the trees smiling happily as they play. As a plucky little lion, with a bright red mane framing its face like the rays of the sun, sits contentedly with its eyes closed.

Tiny turtles amble along the fabric, their shells a mosaic of joy with triangle patterns adding extra pops of colour. A mice, with its oversized ears, is the epitome of cuteness as it stands up on its back legs. Its pink-tinted ears and loopy tails add an adorable touch as it raises a paw as if it’s waving ‘hello’. Just above, a pink crocodile wanders past with a yellow bird hitching a ride on its back. Then to finish off the animal fun, a little frog sits happily just behind.

Between the animals, cloud outlines wander across this sky-less scene, as rainbows arch here and there with bright bands of colour. Trees, little plants and odd leaves pop up in this bustling habitat, making it feel like the animals are free outside enjoying the wild rather than in a zoo animal scene.

“Animal Wildlife” is approximately 110cm (43 inches) in width and is available by the metre (39 ⅓ inches) or half a metre (19 ½ inches). If you order multiple quantities, a continuous length will be sent. For smaller projects, a fat quarter, measuring about 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches) is also available.
