Designed by Belle and Boo for Michael Miller Fabrics, this doughnut pattern is such a sweet treat for anyone who loves a good novelty cotton print! Belle and Boo say that the inspiration for the Yummy Scrummy Fabric Collection came from fond memories of baking with parents and grandparents in childhood, where memories were made just as often as yummy food.

In a playful style, pink iced doughnuts with sprinkles scattered on top act like large polka dots on the fabric. Inside each doughnut hole, a small child is relaxing. Each one has been drawn in a different pose like a little story unfolding. Some are sitting swinging their legs off the edge of the doughnut, while others lean back with their legs up inside the ring, another child has stretched out on his tummy while a little girl nearby looks up at her toy bunny hanging over the top of her doughnut. You can almost imagine each child wriggling around in anticipation and delight, pretending that their kitchen chair is a giant doughnut, as the air fills with the sweet smell from the oven as they wait longingly for their baking to finish.

The background of this cotton is a crisp clean white – like grandma has already wiped everything clean between the children. The bright white makes the gentle colouring of the pattern really stand out and while still feeling gentle on the eye.

“Donuts” is approximately 110cm (43 inches) wide and is available by the meter (39 ⅓ inches) or half a meter (19 ½ inches). If you require a continuous length, just add multiple quantities to your cart before checking out and we’ll send it all as one piece. For smaller projects, a fat quarter measuring about 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches) is also available.
