This cotton fabric designed by Deborah Edwards is like every young builder’s dream! “All Around Town” is a pattern set deep inside a Construction Zone! It’s a delightfully busy pattern where all kinds of heavy-duty vehicles get to shine.

Between hazard signs and traffic cones, cement mixers, forklift trucks, wrecking balls, bulldozers, pickup trucks, diggers and excavators, flatbed trucks are all driving past each other making a scattered pattern that works when you sew with it in any direction.

The colour scheme is a classic safety orange and yellow combination which keeps it both true to the colours that are frequently used, as well as feeling uplifting and energetic.The simplified design makes it feel suitable for children without being babyish for only the youngest children to enjoy.

Northcott is known for its premium-quality cotton, so this fabric is perfect for a wide range of sewing projects from quilting to crafting. We think it would be particularly fun to make a boy’s bulldozer bow tie, a digger draft stopper or even a construction zone car seat cover.

Measuring approximately 110cm (43 inches) in width, “All Around Town” is available for purchase in meter, half-meter or 25cm (skinny quarter) increments. Any multiple quantities or combinations of these will be sent as a continuous length. We also have a fat quarter option, measuring around 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches).
