The Reef

This beautiful underwater pattern called “The Reef” features realistic-styled fish darting in between each other just above the reef floor. Bustling with aquatic life, clownfish add bold pops of orange colours amongst the gentle yellow tangs and the elegant angelfish.

The blue watery background of the sea is full of different blue and purple tones, giving the impression of sunlight catching the water, while a scattering of bubbles between the fish helps to suggest movement in this warm tropical sea, as the fish all dart around in different directions.

This is a high-quality cotton with quilters kept in mind, so this fabric is not only perfect for quilting, but also for a whole range of other sewing projects. The small sized print makes the pattern perfect for adding a subtle pattern that bags you to look closer, complementing a bigger pattern or for making small projects. We think that this pattern would be particularly fun to make a tropical tablet case, ocean oven gloves, or maybe even a clownfish coin purse.

At approximately 110cm (43 inches) in width, “The Reef” is available in per meter (39 ⅓ inches), half a meter (19 ½ inches), or a skinny quarter (measuring 25cm/9.8 inches) lengths. Multiple quantities or combinations of these cuts will be sent as one continuous piece, so for example if you want 125cm, just add a metre and a skinny quarter. We also have a fat quarter size, measuring approximately 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches).
