It’s A Boy – Animals

Designed by Echo Park Paper Company, this adorable animal cotton is part of the “It’s A Boy” Collection for Riley Blake Designs.

Like a scene in a toddler’s story, this pattern is filled with simple illustrations of gentle sleepy animals on a calming background.

A giraffe stands tall and proud, eyes closed and smiling contentedly. Nearby, a lion closes it’s eyes as it stands like a protective presence, watching over the forest and the sleepy bear curled up next to it. Racoons, owls, skunks and hippos also start to dream as they drift off for a moment before settling down to get comfy.

In the background is a crisp white colour, sprinkled with some pastel shades of leaves. The soft, muted colours of the forest create a peaceful, storybook atmosphere that gently catches the eye and soothes the soul as you can’t help but look closer at these sleepy friends.

Riley Blake Designs are known for their premium fine cotton fabrics, making this animal cotton perfect for a wide range of sewing projects from quilting to crafting. We think that this cotton would be particularly fun to make creature-filled crib sheets, a racoon reading pillow or a baby burp cloth.

At approximately 110cm (43 inches) in width, “It’s A Boy” is available by the metre (39 ⅓ inches), half a metre (19 ½ inches) or skinny quarter which is 25cm length (9.8 inches). Any orders with multiple quantities or combinations of these cuts will be sent as a continuous piece. For example, if you’d like 125cm, just add a skinny quarter and a metre to the basket before you check out and we’ll cut it as 125cm for you. We also have a fat quarter size available at approximately 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches).
