Pets – Cats

Designed by Lori Whitlock, this playful animal cotton is part of the “Pets” Collection for Riley Blake Designs.

With little grey kitties on a navy blue background, their personalities stand out easily. Some sit happily, others sleep, while more cats play in boxes. Between them are lots of tiny little symbols in light blue like arrows, hearts, stars, circles, clouds diamonds and paper aeroplanes. These add little flecks of visual interest without taking away attention from the main pattern. Splashes of colour with the brown of the boxes and red on the kitten collars also brighten the fabric and give it more fun.

Being a scattered pattern, this fun feline fabric can be used in any direction and still look great, or can be fussy cut into small hexies to add a little kitty cuteness to a project.

Riley Blake Designs are known for their premium fine cotton fabrics, making this pet cotton perfect for a wide range of sewing projects from quilting to crafting. We think that this cotton would be particularly fun to make kitty cushions, a cat-filled coin purse, or a fabulous feline frock.

At approximately 110cm (43 inches) in width, “Cats” is available by the metre (39 ⅓ inches), half a metre (19 ½ inches) or skinny quarter which is 25cm length (9.8 inches). Any orders with multiple quantities or combinations of these cuts will be sent as a continuous piece. For example, if you’d like 125cm, just add a skinny quarter and a metre to the basket before you check out and we’ll cut it as 125cm for you. We also have a fat quarter size available at approximately 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches).
