This lively and realistic frog cotton fabric has been designed by Lori Anzalone for Studio E. “Jewels of the Jungle,” is a pattern that celebrates these fascinating amphibians in all their vivid jewel-like colours.

Amongst the many frogs squeezing their way to get onto this cotton, is large a lime-green frog with a creamy yellow underbelly speckled with soft white spots pushing its way to the front. Peering over its head, a small yellow frog hitches a ride. To their side is a large emerald green frog. It sits happily with its eyes wide and inviting, its mouth curving into a gentle smile.

A vibrant yellow frog with abstract black markings tries to move sideways as between the larger frogs, small blue ones add bright splashes of colour to this already colourful pattern. An orange frog, leans back on its legs, poised as if ready to leap right out of the picture.

Then bringing up the rainbow of frog colours, there are also several bright red frogs, from large ones with cream underbellies to smaller ones sporting nature’s own black polka-dots. One red frog even puffs up its throat, as if ready to serenade the jungle with its call.

Amidst this bustling crowd, webbed hands and feet jostle for space, creating a sense of lively movement. Some frogs are partially hidden, their faces just visible behind the crowd. Then sneaking in amongst the frogs hoping not to be noticed is a little green lizard.

There is no space for a background in this fabric. Each frog (and the lizard!), regardless of its size or hue, contributes to this bustling pattern. Not only is this fabric visually stunning but it is also teeming with life and energy.

The fabric measures approximately 110cm (43 inches) in width and is available by the metre (39 ⅓ inches) or half a metre (19 ½ inches). Multiple quantities will be sent as a continuous length. If you’re working on a smaller project, then we hope you’ll be delighted to know that it’s also available as a fat quarter, measuring approximately 55cm x 50cm (21 ½ x 19 ½ inches).

This cotton is perfect for all sorts of sewing projects. But we think that it would be perfect for sewing brightly coloured bathroom baskets, or an attention-grabbing amphibian A-line dress, or fussy cutting frogs for a fantastic quilt or even a jungle journal cover.
