This fabric, known as polyurethane laminate or waterproof PUL fabric, is created by bonding a thin polyester knit to a waterproof polyurethane layer at the back. Its breathability, flexibility, lightweight drape, and slight stretch make it an excellent choice for a variety of waterproof sewing projects. Although PUL is often machine washable up to 50°c, to preserve the fabric’s durability and the lively colours of the flowers and leaves, we recommend washing at 30°c or below. The “Sun-Kissed Blooms” PUL fabric is available in fat quarters, half-metres, and by the metre. When purchased by the half metre or metre, the fabric width is approximately 145cm, or about 57 inches. While some PUL fabric has a wide selvedge which is not always laminated right up to the edge, this does not affect the usable width. For smaller needs, our fat quarter size is approximately 48cm x 50cm, or about 18 ¾ x 19 ½ inches.
