Description
Bias binding is a strip of fabric that has been cut at 45° to the selvedge edge. This makes it more flexible and able to stretch than a fabric cut on the grain, which makes it both easier to work with and stronger for use under stress such as on garments. Bias binding is commonly used to enclose raw fabric edges either in place of facings, for convenience or decoratively.
This is a single fold bias binding which means that the raw edges have been pressed towards the centre. To use it, simply fold the bias binding around the raw edge of your fabric to enclose it in the centre and sew it in place.
The width of 15mm (0.6inch) is the width of the bias binding which is visible on one side of the fabric after the raw edge has been enclosed in the centre.
This bias binding is made of polyester satin. The price is per metre, but if you buy 2 or more metres a 20% discount will be applied to your bias binding on checkout. More than 1 in quantity will always be sent as a continuous length.
