Description
This sewing machine foot is designed to make sewing stretch and knit fabrics easier. The long prong sticking upwards hooks over the needle bar before you snap it in place. This allows the foot to lift and lower as the needle lifts and lowers which prevents any tension under the foot from stretching or distorting the fabric as you sew. It has a little rubber stopper underneath which adds an extra non-slip grip when the needle is down to help hold the fabric in place.
Although this is a snap-on foot, it is only suitable for low shank machines (Universal domestic sewing machine fit). Although the snap is a universal fit, due to the placement of the prong to attach over the needle bar which is in a different position for most industrial sewing machines, this makes it only suitable for home sewing machines. This type of foot will attach to most standard domestic sewing machines e.g. Brother, Janome, Toyota. If you aren’t sure if this will fit your machine, check out our sewing machine feet guide.
