The invisible zipper foot is also called a concealed zipper foot. It is an absolute game-changer if you’re a fan of hidden zippers! To use it, all you need to do is unscrew your current foot, or the adapter that snap-on feet attach to, and screw it on in place, then away you go!

The invisible zipper has got two little grooves that run from front to back on the underside of the foot. It lets the teeth of an invisible zipper run right under the foot to position it in the perfect position to just stitch it in place. You really can’t get your needle closer than that! And even better, being clear plastic, you can see it all happening perfectly.

You might need to change your stitch settings. To get the perfect position, you need to have a straight stitch in a central needle position. The hole for the needle is only small to keep everything stable as you stitch, so always check your needle clearance before starting. You may find that adjusting to a slightly shorter stitch length helps hold your invisible zipper firmly in place.

The best part about sewing with an invisible zipper foot is that you don’t have to worry about struggling to keep the zipper from getting caught in the stitching. You can just glide along, sewing nice and close to the zipper teeth, and the foot does all the hard work for you. To get even more professional-looking results, there are a few extra tips and tricks you can try. First, make sure to press your zipper coils nice and straight before you start sewing. You may find it also helps to lift them up away from the tape as you press – this will help them slide through more easily which prevents any puckering or bunching. If you’re working with slippy or tricky fabrics, you might want to baste your zip where you want it first instead of pins, or you can also use a bit of fabric glue or wonder tape to hold the zipper in place while you sew.

And speaking of endless possibilities, just think of all the amazing projects you can create with your invisible zipper foot! Dresses with invisible back zippers, sleek and professional-looking cushions and pillows, even bags and purses with hidden zipper closures. The world is your oyster!

So if you love sewing dresses with hidden closures, or home decor projects that require a bit of extra finesse and precision like some pretty cushions or hidden wall-hanging pockets, then we hope that this invisible zipper foot will help you zip right through them with ease!
