This sewing machine foot works the same way as the rolled hem foot, but the width of the hem created will be 3⁄4 inch (2cm). We recommend that you start your hem off by first folding the first ½ inch (1cm) by hand. Do this by making a small fold that is the width of your guide. Next, fold that under again so that the raw edge is enclosed. Put it underneath the foot and sew a few stitches to secure the fabric and fold it in place. Now leaving the needle down but lifting the presser foot up, thread the edge of the fabric into the guide. Lower the presser foot back down and stitch in place while keeping a slight tension on the fabric edge and curling the fabric as you go to help feed it through. Make sure to keep the fabric central or it can slip out of the guide.
Universal Snap-on Feet will attach to low or high shank sewing machine adapters, which covers a wide range of both home and domestic sewing machines. If you aren’t sure if this will fit your machine, check out our sewing machine feet guide.
